The beauty of this day and age is that you can structure a lifestyle that allows you to work flexibly…and still increase productivity!
How does working only a set of a couple hours each day sound to you? Probably a lot better than the typical 8+ hours you would work at an office job with little to no breaks.
Here are a few ways to stay calm and energized all day while still managing to increase productivity:
Realize that when your productivity starts slowing down, it’s your body telling you that you need a break
Listen to your body! Exhaustion can certainly get the best of you and just by pushing through the exhaustion does not mean that you will complete your work on time, or even produce quality work. Without the production of your quality work, your sales will likely decrease. Taking a break will help you to re-group and get going again soon after.
Break your day into intervals
By breaking your day up, it helps to manage tasks more easily to increase productivity. Hourly intervals work great, and they will help your day move along more quicker and more smoothly.
Take a real rest to increase productivity in your work
No, this does not mean catching up with what’s on your newsfeed on Facebook or Twitter, scrolling through Instagram, or even texting. Doing any of these things would be defeating the purpose to increase productivity each day.
The problem is that these are all mindless activities that we automatically find ourselves doing once we have a minute to ourselves. But it’s not exactly relaxing or giving your mind a rest. When you rest, eat your lunch in peace. Take a walk. Take a stretch. Really clear your mind so when you head back to work, both your mind and body are ready to take on the next task.
